Personal Use License Agreement

By purchasing, downloading, or accessing digital 3D model files (including but not limited to .STL, .3MF, or .STEP files) provided by Random Print Co (“Licensor”), you (“Licensee” or “User”) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Personal Use License Agreement (“Agreement”).

If you do not agree to these terms, do not purchase, download, or use the files.

1. Grant of License

Upon payment in full, Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, worldwide license to use the digital file(s) strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

2. Permitted Uses

Under this license, you are permitted to:

  • Personal Physical Prints: Print as many physical copies of the 3D model as you wish for your own personal use, display, or enjoyment.
  • Gifting: Print and gift physical copies to friends or family, provided no monetary exchange, bartering, or commercial benefit occurs.
  • Personal Modifications: Modify, scale, slice, or alter the digital file solely for your own personal printing needs (e.g., adapting the scale to fit your needs).

3. Prohibited Uses

This is a non-commercial license. The following acts are strictly prohibited without a separate, written Commercial License from Licensor:

  • No Commercial Sales of Physical Prints: You may not sell, rent, lease, or distribute physical 3D prints produced from these files (e.g., on Etsy, eBay, Shopify, craft fairs, or local marketplaces).
  • No File Sharing or Redistribution: You may not share, re-sell, sub-license, host, re-upload, or distribute the original or modified digital files (.STL, .3MF, etc.) on any website, cloud storage, file-sharing platform, or online repository (including but not limited to Thingiverse, Cults3D, Printables, MakerWorld, or Discord).
  • No Digital Derivatives: You may not modify, remix, sculpt, or build upon the digital file to sell, distribute, or claim as your own digital creation.
  • No Casts or Molds: You may not create silicone molds, casts, or mass-production tooling from physical prints for commercial production.

4. Ownership and Intellectual Property

This Agreement constitutes a license to use, not a transfer of ownership or copyright. Random Print Co retains all right, title, interest, copyright, and intellectual property rights in and to the digital files and the underlying design concepts.

5. Enforcement and DMCA

Licensor actively monitors third-party marketplaces and online repositories for unauthorized file distribution and commercial sales of prints. Unauthorized commercial use or file sharing constitutes copyright infringement under international law and will result in:

  1. Immediate revocation of this license.
  2. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notices issued to relevant platforms and hosting providers.
  3. Potential legal action for statutory copyright damages and legal fees.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

  • As-Is Delivery: Digital files are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a specific 3D printer, print success, or hardware compatibility.
  • Limitation of Liability: Licensor shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use, inability to use, or print outcomes of the digital files.
